Candidacy and Seats up for Election
Any current adult resident of the district is eligible to run for a seat representing the district in which you live. There are 4 districts each represented by three commissioners elected to serve three-year terms. Terms are staggered so that one seat in each district comes up for election each year, although there can be multiple seats up for election in a year to fill the remainder of an unexpired term caused by a vacancy. There are six seats up for election in 2021. One expiring term in each district, and unexpired terms in District 1 and District 3.
