- University Area Plan
- Debrief of first Public Meeting
- Send land use map out in format that fits on 8-1/2 x 11.
- First public meeting went well
- City staff was good about listening and answering questions but not being obtrusive
- Land Use categories – hard to agree/disagree, will be interesting to see how people react to these.
- Need to look at zoning in adjacent district, not just in the UDistrict
- Think about streets as spaces – connectivity and consistency. Treat them as corridors and avoid having each side be different.
- Fourth and Summit as examples. Maybe try to get a presentation on full impacts of 4th and Summit projects at the full commission. November meeting?
- Look at 2015-2016 resurfacing plan for opportunities
- Homework
- Additional UIRF projects in your districts?
- Can we keep the park that fronts on 5th Avenue at Forsythe (was formerly part of school playground)? It is currently zoned C-4.
- Status of stop sign at King and Hunter and Hunter Avenue Bike Boulevard
- Can we get an update on the bike plan? Steps and Schedule
- Draft Land Use concepts (see attachments)
- Zoning – north and south sides of King should be consistent. North side is shown as medium intensity but south side is lower intensity.
- Add node at King and Neil
- Comments on Existing Conditions document (available at: http://development.columbus.gov/universitydistrict.aspx)
- Other business
- Early adjournment (7:45) for Elections Committee
