May 8: City Council Session on Mobile Food Trucks

Great news for food truck lovers! Columbus is rolling out a pilot program to help guide the growth of the mobile food truck industry. This week, City Council will hold a hearing featuring presentations and feedback on the program. Please help spread the word.

Councilmember Michelle M. Mills, chair of the Public Safety and Judiciary Committee, will hold a public hearing to discuss a proposed pilot program that will help responsibly guide the growth of the mobile food truck industry in Columbus. The hearing will feature a presentation from the Public Safety Department that will outline the program that will allow mobile food vendors, including food trucks, push carts, and ice cream trucks, to sell to patrons from designated spots on the street. Speaker slips will be accepted on the day of the hearing until 5:30 pm. The meeting will be broadcast live on CTV, Columbus’ cable access channel 3 on local cable systems.
