Final Public Meeting on University District Plan Revisions

The Columbus Planning Division is working with the University Area Commission and other stakeholders on the development of a University District Plan.   A public meeting on a complete draft of the plan will be held on Tuesday, September 23rd from 6:00 to 7:30 pm.  We hope that you will be able to attend.

There will be a brief presentation at 6 pm and then meeting attendees will be directed to informational boards that will explain key highlights of the draft plan.  Interested parties may come during any portion of the time period to review the information at their own pace.  Staff will be present to answer questions and discuss.   It is the intention of the Planning Division to initiate the plan adoption process later this fall/winter.  This will include the consideration of the draft plan by the University Area Review Board, University Area Commission, Columbus Development Commission, and ultimately City Council.  Please check the webpage for updates.

Background and more information:

The University District Plan will update and replace the existing University Neighborhoods Revitalization Plan (1996) and other planning documents for the University District. The planning area boundary is Fifth Avenue on the south, the Olentangy River on the west, the Glen Echo Ravine on the north, and the railroad tracks on the east. The Plan will include a land use plan, design guidelines for future commercial and residential development, and identify capital improvements for the neighborhood.
