Volunteers needed to care for the portal park at Arcadia/High. This is a great opportunity for amateur gardeners to learn from a master gardener and help keep our neighborhood beautiful!

Sue Wightman who helped create and maintain the beautiful garden/park at the corner of High Street & Arcadia (Portal Park), is moving out of town. This means our community is in desperate need of volunteers who would be willing to adopt the area and help keep it looking beautiful after she moves. Even though this park is small, it’s very significant because it’s the gateway to Clintonville and the University Area District. It would be a shame if the park returned to the condition it was before sue and her volunteers stepped up to help. If anyone is interested in keeping this area an asset to our community please contact Sue Wightman at the contact info below. This is a great way for individuals, or for community groups, to give back to our community.
